About Sending and Receiving E-Mail via other ISPs
-- Receiving E-Mail:
ROSENET does not restrict the POP-connection via other ISPs.
so you can receive the e-mails that were delivered to your ROSENET mailbox.
(except for restricted by the ISP.)
-- Sending E-Mail:
ROSENET e-mail servers have already supported the Submission Port (Port 587).
so you can use ROSENET outgoing e-mail server by changing the configuration of your e-mail application to use the submission port.
* When you use the submission port, you also need to set up SMTP authentication (authentication of the sender).
Preventive Measures against Exceeding the Upper Limit of the Space
(Deleting
E-Mails)
Although some e-mail softwares can leave e-mails on the e-mail server, it is
recommended that you usually select not to leave e-mails on the server
because the server may overflow with e-mails.
Please not to exceed 10MB of the initial e-mail space allocated.
Keep in mind that when surpassing the contract amount of the e-mail space
you cannot receive e-mails.

Security-Related Issues
-- SPAM E-Mails:
Please avoid from sending a lot of e-mails such as direct mails via the ROSENET
mail server, which will have heavy load on the server and cause trouble
to other users of Rosenet.
-- Computer Viruses:
Computer viruses are often attached to e-mails. Be careful not to open suspicious
attached files, especially .exe files. When infected with viruses, e-mails
with viruses attached can be automatically sent.
